JAMBUGHODA CAMPS
Tapestry of Folklore,Wildlife & Agriculture
Camp Description
Silently jagged twigs lose their form, curling up as smoke from the chulla. As children follow their cattle along their cattle foot-beaten paths, lured to that fragrance of wood and wheat.the hems slow their constanthustle and the season's yeild sways in the breeze as if it too will lie down to sleep. The setting sun gently bids farewell, painting in brillantand pale shades of pink, orange and purple its gratitude to the simple beauty of this site. over thousands of years, the Rathwa people too have been offering gratitude through Pithora paintings full of ancient wisdom, traditional, sprituality and history-should be quiet eneough to hear their stories. These semless offerings between the wild and human civilization that seems to have forgotten the current century reveal an intricately designed lifestyle that dumbfounds modern studies of economics, commerce, history, ecology, philosophy and anthropology, drawing us forward into an unnamed disciple that will forever remain ancient and cutting-edge.
